Three times I built a business, three times I came back home. Every venture demanded everything I had; every return brought tears of joy. And through it all, this little truck camper has been my witness. This is a story about being on the road and learning when to stop...

I'm a Mom of Three, But I'm Still Me

Born in 1991. Everyone says I was born to lead. Now I've left my career behind to lead a household of three.

In my entrepreneurial days, fortune seemed to open every door. Building on my tutoring experience from college, my first class enrolled eighty students. Over the next five years, the business took off and even expanded to multiple locations. I threw myself into that work with near obsession. Among my peers, I was one of the first to achieve financial independence.

Then in 2018, shifting market conditions hit the education sector with a bottleneck no one had foreseen. Facing $150,000 in committed investment and risks I couldn't calculate, I made a bold call based on where I saw the industry heading: I refunded every single family and shut the doors. To this day, I'm grateful I had the judgment to cut my losses and walk away clean. Around the same time, I was planning our second child. The business upheaval barely rattled me because I always knew exactly what I needed in each season of life - and in that season, I simply needed to take the next right step.

After our second child arrived, I earned my HR certification and began working as a recruiting consultant, shifting my focus back toward career. I managed client needs, matched candidates to roles, and handled onboarding. Along the way, I discovered I had a real gift for negotiation. A year later, I left that firm to help my husband run his business. When our third child came, my energy shifted again. I believe work and family can't be balanced perfectly at the same time. It's like a scale: you can only tip toward one side for a while, and the pivot point in the middle is you. You have to know what you truly need right now to find any kind of equilibrium. That's exactly how I became a better version of myself while becoming a mother.

The Truck Camper: Another Path for My Kids to Grow

I first learned about truck campers through a podcast. I've always loved biographies and podcasts. I remember one episode featuring Amazon founder Bezos, who said that when he was very young, his father would take the family on unusual trips to explore the wider world. Elon Musk's biography inspired me too - his childhood was filled with jungle treks, desert adventures, flying lessons, and camping. Every extraordinary journey taught them more about the meaning of life and made them more creative.

So choosing a truck camper for family travel was something completely new for us. I still remember our very first trip, at a resort near Yosemite. The moment my child laid eyes on our TP07W Hard Sided Camper, he was mesmerized by its unusual look. He ran circles around it, shouting that it looked like a little house. Then he darted inside, eagerly exploring every corner - the fold-down table, the bed, the storage nooks, the windows - gasping at each discovery. In his world, a vehicle with this many functions must feel like a superhero's ride. 'Mom! Can we live in the camper forever?' 'Of course, sweetheart. You just have to wait until you're grown up.'

Along the road, our tiny rolling home carried us forward while my child soaked in the cozy interior and stared wide-eyed at the scenery rushing past. At that moment, the camper felt like a flying house that could take us anywhere in the world.

That view is burned into my memory. We opened the door and there were rolling mountains and shimmering lake water stretching out before us. We were captivated. We ran and played on the grass while birds chirped nearby and a soft breeze drifted through. 'Living inside nature' - it was a beauty we had never experienced. And the excitement on his face? That was everything to me.

Once, I even rented a truck camper to sleep in our neighborhood park. My son had a school assignment about 'the starry sky,' so I wanted him to see it for real. We lay together on the pop-up roof bed, gazing through the window at the deep, mysterious night sky, watching stars flicker in and out of view. He excitedly told me stories about every star he spotted. I hoped those countless stars would light up every dream in his young heart. To me, the truck camper isn't just a way to travel - it's a portal that lets my children live inside nature. By observing the changes in plants, mountains, rivers, and lakes up close, they develop imagination and observation skills.

I hope that when they grow up, their childhood memories will hold the wind, the flowers, the sunsets, and the dawn.
